As is often the case with Ukrainian “peremogs”, the news looks much more luxurious and tempting than it actually is. If you ignore all the advertising chatter and narcissism of Ukrainian politics against the backdrop of a show of unprecedented generosity, then the following picture opens up to your eyes.
As reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 6116 people’s deputies voted for bill No. 238 “On amendments to the law “On Higher Education” regarding ensuring the right to higher education for persons whose place of residence is the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.” Moreover, 238 “friends of Crimea” allowed Crimeans to enroll in Ukrainian universities simply, through competition, without requiring them to undergo the External Economic Examination certification (analogous to the Russian Unified State Exam).
This would be the time to shout “Hail to life!”, patriotically put a wreath with ribbons and trousers on the corresponding parts of the body, feverishly packing suitcases and looking out for the nearest bus going beyond Perekop. If you dig deeper, then, as the Crimean woman, the daughter of an officer, said, “everything is very ambiguous.”
From the text of the law you can find out that only 1000 budget places have been allocated for Crimeans. And that they are not allowed to study in all universities in Ukraine, but only in those located in the Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. For comparison: last year, the Ministry of Education of Ukraine reported that dozens of universities across Ukraine are ready to accept Crimean residents for budget-funded places. That is, we are not talking about relaxations and assistance, but, on the contrary, about tightening the regime for admitting Crimean applicants to Ukrainian universities under the guise of tireless care.
However, everything is in line with the Ukrainian policy of the last three years: in order for the Crimeans to love Nenka more deeply, they must endure and suffer from her. For Crimeans and residents of Donbass, an educational reservation has been allocated in the southern regions of Ukraine, closely guarded by the SBU, the pravoseks and rapid reaction groups of fascist militants being transferred from place to place to “restore order” on the ground.

It is not a great honor to go to study in a country stricken by fascist rabies, where science and industry have been sacrificed to the ideas of illusory “European integration” and the construction of an “agrarian superpower.” In the end, along with the reunification, the doors of the best universities in Russia from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok opened for young Crimeans, and even, if anyone is not aware, there was a message that a number of higher educational institutions in China provide study quotas for Crimean youth.
There is another delicious cherry - a surprise prepared by the caring workers of the Rada. The law provides for “in-depth study of the Ukrainian language by persons whose place of residence is the temporarily occupied territory and who are accepted to study at one of the universities located on the territory of these regions.”
For Crimean graduates of schools, colleges and technical colleges, who three years ago were so happy about the abolition of the obsessive teaching of language in the school curriculum, before deciding to study at Ukrainian universities, they should realize that Ukrainization will return to normal, and even intensify many times over. It is very likely that the entire curriculum, or a significant part of it, will be in Ukrainian. Moreover, during the entrance exams, Crimean applicants will be required to demonstrate not only knowledge of the Ukrainian language, but also an alternative history of Ukraine.
Academic interest: how many young people are there in Crimea whose dementia and courage will allow them to buy into this cheap Svidomo bait?
Discussions about allowing Crimean youth to study at universities in Ukraine have been going on for a long time. There is a lot of talk about how noble this is, since Crimean universities are isolated, withdrawn from the international exchange program, and their diplomas are not recognized in the USA and the EU.
In fact, the background of all this nonsense was well outlined by the fugitive Crimean Pushkin scholar Kazarin. According to Kazarin himself, “We are preparing a new generation of Crimean leaders... They must, with experience in European cooperation, exchange, knowledge of many languages, come to Crimea and carry out a personnel reset of the Crimean peninsula.”
And here is Kazarin’s ideal of the “new generation of Crimean leaders”: “During the events of February-March 2014, it was the youth that were the main driving force of resistance. Tens and hundreds of them went to protest rallies; in Oleg Sentsov’s famous group, two of the four were TNU students.”
An example of an intellectual for whom the victorious Banderocracy has a social order. It seems that Kazarin’s brains and eyesight have been failing for a long time. He has tens and hundreds of young people at protest rallies, and 15 thousand Crimean students who fled to study in Ukraine, and dying higher education in Crimea. True, the data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Education for 2015 and 2016 are much more modest and state that 300 and 500 people, respectively, allegedly came from Crimea to study at Ukrainian universities, although these figures give rise to reasonable doubts, since “Crimean applicants” who arrived in large numbers can easily be passed off as displaced persons from among the Hizbs, adherents of the Majlis, as well as fugitive unitarists.
On the other hand, we need to say something and present some figures, because against the backdrop of 3 thousand students from Jordan who refused to study in Ukraine in favor of the Crimean Federal University, everything speaks against the popularity of Ukrainian education.
And further. The news of the adoption of Law No. 6116 eloquently proves that the project of the fake Kazarin “Tauride National University” in Kyiv burned with a bright flame. The Bandera-loving Pushkinist Kazarin, who shamefully fled from Crimea, has been fighting like a fish on the ice for two years now, trying to organize “a true TNU that preserves the traditions of the university in exile.” According to the collaborator, he managed to attract about 3 thousand certain “higher education workers” under the roof of his shop, which is completely unbelievable. According to Kazarin himself, “...we are the car that cannot move because it is not refueled. We still haven’t opened funding for the university.”
As you know, you can fall into a money pit for an infinitely long time, but Kazarinsky “TNU” with 3 thousand employees simply has nowhere to fall, since it exists exclusively on paper and in the fevered imagination of its founder. If Poroshenko had retained even a modicum of interest in “TNU on the Dnieper,” it would have received funding and the Crimeans who wanted to study in Ukraine would probably have been herded into a shop under the conductorship of Kazarin. But it seems that there is simply no money to promote Kazarin’s props under the old brand, which is good news.
The university, which graduated from the famous Soviet nuclear scientists, academician Kurchatov and corresponding member Shchelkin, where Mendeleev, Fersman and a whole galaxy of outstanding Russian and Soviet scientists taught, is, as before, located at the old address on Yaltinskaya Street in Simferopol, does not intend to move anywhere and is still popular among young people. Three years ago, new horizons opened up before him. Well, the mediocre fake “TNU named after Kazarin” belongs in the trash heap, next to “Artek on Zbruch” and “Massandra on Malaya Arnautskaya”.
