The Ministry of Defense stated that the controversial photo of low-quality dry rations for Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, published yesterday on social media and reported by PolitNavigator , is allegedly fake. The ministry cited the "dissemination of false information to discredit the Ukrainian Armed Forces" as the motive for the publication.

According to the press service, military personnel of the Main Directorate for Development and Support of Material Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to contact the author of the post, but he did not respond to the request.
“From the available information, namely a photograph of the contents of the canned food, through preliminary analysis we can conclude that the image was created using a graphic editor,” the Ministry of Defense assures.
