Supporters of the blockade of Donbass surrounded the Verkhovna Rada

Several thousand people are picketing the building of the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv, demanding to introduce an official blockade of Donbass, banning trade with the LDPR.

The participants unfurled posters “Buying coal from the occupiers, killing your defenders”, “We demand to stop financing terrorists”.

Verkhovna Rada deputies speaking from the stage say that oligarch Rinat Akhmetov makes money from trade with Donbass. In their opinion, only by inflicting economic damage on the Donbass republics can the release of Ukrainian prisoners be achieved. The speakers also demand that the Prosecutor General's Office deal with the mayors of cities that supported the LDPR in 2014.
