Statistics: steel production in Ukraine decreased by 28,6%

Based on the results of the work of metallurgical enterprises in April 2017, Ukraine reduced steel production by 28,6% compared to April 2016 - to 1,572 million tons, taking 14th place in the ranking of 67 countries - the world's main producers of these products, compiled by the World Manufacturers Association steel (Worldsteel).

The top ten steel producing countries at the end of April are as follows: China (72,777 million tons, an increase of 4,9%), Japan (8,752 million tons, an increase of 3%), India (8,065 million tons, an increase of 4,8 %), USA (6,717 million tons, an increase of 1,8%), Russia (6,212 million tons, an increase of 4,3%), South Korea (5,481 million tons, a decrease of 2,9%), Germany (3,842 million tons, up 8,1%), Turkey (3,026 million tons, up 6,5%), Brazil (2,895 million tons, up 25,9%) and Italy (1,976 million tons, down 6%).
