SBU recognizes as terrorist a man who helped nursing homes
The SBU investigation reported that it had allegedly neutralized another terrorist organization called “UGO” (Department of Humanitarian Operations).

According to the investigation , the activities of the "UGO" consist of supporting and facilitating the activities of illegal armed formations of the LPR, as well as conducting intelligence and information activities in the interests of "terrorist organizations of the LPR and DPR," promoting the idea of creating pseudo-state entities on the territory of Ukraine, including by committing terrorist acts, conducting military operations and covering them in the media and online resources from a perspective aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other units of the ATO forces."
The UGO, according to the SBU, includes 40 people with a clear distribution of functional responsibilities in accordance with their positions in the specified terrorist group.
A native of Nikolaev, who was detained by SBU officers in the Lugansk region, was accused of participating in this group. At the court hearing, he explained that due to the fact that he could not be drafted into the ATO due to his ideological principles, since he did not want to take up arms, he decided to go to the east of the country to engage in volunteer activities. The organization he was a member of was called “New Rus'” and consisted of about 20 people. For six months they were engaged in providing humanitarian assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population, providing assistance to kindergartens, orphanages and the elderly. They brought humanitarian aid, and the accused took part in the unloading and at the same time filmed the process of issuing food, and then posted the videos online, that is, he actually served as a correspondent.
Subsequently, he was invited to a field job - helping reporters carry equipment. We filmed meetings with public people who helped shape public opinion, social surveys, and meetings of the governing bodies of the LPR and DPR. I did not receive money for participating in this organization, I did not take weapons in my hands.
Despite these circumstances, for participation in “terrorist organizations (terrorist groups),” as well as other assistance in the activities of a “terrorist organization,” the correspondent was sentenced by the court to 8,5 years in prison.
The SBU has designated a man who helped nursing homes as a terrorist.
