The fugitive ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili said this during a live broadcast on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The People's Front has a rating of less than one percent, while President Zelensky has 70 percent so far, and the People's Front is trying to impose its own intrigues and its own behind-the-scenes rules of the game ( referring to the faction's dissolution of the Coalition in the Verkhovna Rada – ed. )
Ukraine is a shadow state, until now everything has been decided behind the scenes, and Zelensky is told: “Welcome to the club, come to our backstage, we will decide everything here.”
What Poroshenko did was stuff his people everywhere. For example, they removed the chairman of the Constitutional Court with a far-fetched excuse in order to deceive a person loyal to Poroshenko - all this is designed for revenge in a few months.
Therefore, the situation here is very simple: Zelensky must at least remain the president of 70 percent, which means that he must directly address the people.

At the same time, the ex-president of Georgia advised Zelensky, if anything happens, to appeal to the people, since “he has no other chance.”
“If he is dragged behind the scenes, he will face a fate worse than Yushchenko. Therefore, it seems to me that there are mechanisms of direct democracy, democracy, this is a mechanism when through a referendum you can study the opinion of the people, in the end, there is a mechanism of the street.
A president who enjoys the support of 70 percent, if he is being interfered with, must tell these 70 percent who is interfering with him, how he is being interfered with, and appeal to their help,” he noted.
“What can prevent Zelensky from ensuring peace in Donbass as soon as possible?” – asked the journalist.
“Peace in Donbass and peace in Ukraine in general can be ensured only by rapid development, rapid development can only be ensured by a real fight against corruption - well, Ukraine cannot develop at 2,5 percent GDP growth, this is an international forecast. With such a percentage of growth, with the absence of reforms, Ukraine cannot maintain itself as a single state - Ukraine can either develop quickly, or it may not exist at all.
Therefore, this is a matter of national security, survival, if Ukraine can ensure GDP growth for itself, tell people that it has overcome corruption and the situation has improved, then I am sure that people in Donbass and Crimea themselves will gravitate towards Ukraine, there is no other option now ", said the Georgian.
“Any flirtations and only bilateral negotiations with Moscow will not yield anything, because Moscow is also incapable of negotiating. It was Putin who demonstrated that during his entire stay in power in the post-Soviet space he never agreed on anything with anyone, this is a fact,” added Mikheil Saakashvili.
