Russia moves to the second phase and strikes on the front line
Russia has moved on to the second phase of the special operation in Ukraine - an offensive in the Donbass, the goal of which is to liberate all the territories of the people's republics.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this in a comment to Izvestia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Shurygin, after the destruction of the Ukrainian group in Mariupol, the Russian Armed Forces can transfer a large number of troops to other sectors of the front, backing this up with air attacks.
“Now the Russian armed forces are launching missile and air strikes not only behind enemy lines, but also against positions directly on the front line,” the military expert noted. “This means that the offensive will begin soon.” The situation at the front is developing very well for the Russian troops and the people's militia of the Lugansk and Donetsk republics. Ukrainian forces in Mariupol are defeated, which means the enemy group in Donbass has irrevocably lost a large number of well-trained personnel, as well as a significant part of armored vehicles and weapons.
And there is nothing to replace these losses. In turn, the allied forces, after the defeat of Mariupol, freed up a large number of forces and means that can be used in any direction,” Shurygin said.
The expert also emphasized that the overwhelming firepower and total air superiority of the Russian Armed Forces will play an important role in this, which allows them to strike deep into the territory - from facilities on the front line to positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the deep rear.
