“We hear the rhetoric of Merkel and Hollande: “the Minsk agreements are not being implemented,” but they are introducing sanctions against Russia. But the result is that Ukraine has not yet withdrawn its troops from the demarcation line. It is necessary to apply sanctions not against Russia, but against Ukraine,” the deputy said.
“The situation is very difficult. The Ukrainian propaganda campaign to dehumanize Donbass was successful. Ukrainian military personnel open fire on civilians, the psyche of the soldiers has already suffered from the official Kyiv military hysteria. But on Ukrainian TV channels they say that the shelling is carried out exclusively by DPR forces,” Rudenko noted.
“It is necessary to apply tough measures to Ukraine, first of all, to its military-political leadership, which has been at the helm for 3 years now. Then Ukraine’s policy will change and the military conflict will end. And it will be possible to talk about a peaceful resolution of the situation, and not about continuing the confrontation,” the deputy believes.
