Putin promoted the Sputnik vaccine to Erdogan
Russian President Vladimir Putin today interrupted his two-week self-isolation to meet in Sochi with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Before the start of the talks, the leaders told reporters that relations between the two countries were developing positively, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the end of the conversation, Putin and Erodogan exchanged views on the coronavirus. The Russian leader explained to his colleague why he was forced to self-isolate.
“I almost succeeded in a real experiment. I did it on myself. 55 people around me got sick because they were revaccinated late. The adjutant with whom I worked all day from morning to evening fell ill. And my credits are high, I was blown away,” Putin said.
The presidents told each other how many antibodies each had.
“I’m tall, I spent the whole day with an infected person and didn’t get sick. So you will be revaccinated, firstly, in a timely manner, and secondly, better with Sputnik,” Putin suggested.
Erdogan said that he had already been revaccinated with Pfizer-Biontek.
“Then next time with Sputnik,” Putin said.
Putin touted the Sputnik vaccine to Erdogan.
