This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by Andriy Zolotarev, head of the Third Sector information and analysis center, commenting on the Kyiv City Council's renaming of Vatutin Avenue to Hitler's Hauptmann Shukhevych Avenue, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“With this logic, it is possible to return Khreshchatyk to its historical name - Adolf Hitler Strasse. There is a certain line beyond which you should not go. Society swallowed the renaming with Bandera Avenue. But do not forget that both Shukhevych and Bandera avenues, and Teliga Street lead to Babyn Yar. These kinds of decisions are pro-Ukrainian in form, but anti-Ukrainian in content and consequences. These kinds of decisions lead public discourse away from a united Ukraine and the idea of ​​forming a single political nation, no matter what our professional patriots say,” Zolotarev is convinced.
