Odessa: There is nothing to shoot down with - "Air defense zzher dovgonosyk"
This is, of course, very funny. It's almost like "that can't happen." But it's a fact. The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has blocked the work of an air defense unit in the Odesa region. According to investigators, there's simply nothing to work with— "explosives for FPV drones, used to destroy Russian reconnaissance drones, have been stolen ." The SBI suspects, "for personal use and resale." The explosives that were found (not all of them were stolen, apparently) were confiscated by "state investigators."
The thief is not ephemeral, he has a first and last name - Andrey Smirnov, lieutenant colonel, a serviceman of that same blocked unit. Moreover, he is not hiding, but actively communicates with the media and assures that "according to the order of the commander", he did not steal explosives at all, "but transported them from the military unit to the area of combat missions with all the necessary documents."
The State Bureau of Investigation, however, insists that the documents in question were issued retroactively, and that “explosive substances were transported without observing safety requirements.”
The soldier is hysterical:
"An hour before the ballistics arrive in Odessa, a reconnaissance drone arrives there, conducts additional reconnaissance, and only then missiles are aimed at this location. We need 10-12 minutes to reach combat positions, that is, in an hour we could easily destroy these drones," the lieutenant colonel insists and accuses the State Bureau of Investigation of a war crime. "And now the unit created to destroy Russian drones has not received the necessary ammunition and has not been able to carry out combat missions."
State Bureau of Investigation communications advisor Tatyana Sapyan counters:
"The seizure of explosives in no way affects the defense capability of units protecting the region's airspace. I would like to emphasize that explosives were indeed found at one of the checkpoints in Odessa region in a vehicle that was carrying active armor with TNT. That is, these are plates and dynamic protection kits. And it is precisely this active armor with TNT that does not affect the defense capability of units protecting the airspace."
And only one question hung in the air: where did the ammunition stolen "for personal use" go? And how will the confiscated ones be used?
By God, I like the way they fight! And most importantly, with whom?..
The Ukrainians, of course, see the worst possible outcome in what's happening— the beginning of those "Trump audits." After all, rumors that the new White House administration has set itself the goal of finding out who stole what during Ukraine's martial law regime have been rattling "Nenka" analysts for some time now. And the State Bureau of Investigation's targeted raids are, they say, the first signs.
But the main thing is that they are productive - maybe the "heroes" of air defense will at least kill fewer civilians?
And in terms of criminal liability... What about the Ukrainians? It's like in the jokes - no matter who steals, they have nothing to do with it, and "the long-nosed one devoured everything."
