Posner: Public debate is Navalny’s Achilles heel
The management of Channel One did not allow TV presenter Vladimir Pozner to invite criminal blogger Alexei Navalny to an interview, but he really wanted to do it.
He stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel “And Graham Sounded,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I would like to call Alexei Navalny, because he is a prominent figure, he is a political figure, he is a newsmaker. In my opinion, the viewer has the right to hear what he says. The fact that he did not appear on federal channels and I could not invite him, I think this is bad. This is from the area of freedom of speech and press,” Posner argues.
At the same time, he rated Navalny very low as a speaker.

“I took part in a debate with him on Dozhd.” I expected much more from him. He completely lost to me, but not because I am such a wonderful skill. When the audience was initially asked who they supported, I had 3%, and Navalny had 97. And when our debate ended, I had 34%. That is, he lost a lot.
It seems to me that he is very mechanical, there is no emotion in him. Very smooth, almost like a recording. I don’t represent him in the debates,” Posner said.
