“Panic and loss of communication”: The Ukrainian Armed Forces failed the attack on Kherson
Russian military forces repelled attacks launched today by Ukrainian armed forces in the Kherson direction.

Military correspondent Andrei Rudenko writes in his blog about the heavy losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a result of an attempt to break through the defense line.
“At the moment, the enemy has not been able to open the defenses of our units. It is known for certain that five units of damaged equipment and a large number of wounded and dead among the Nazis. At the moment, the army reserves of the Kyiv regime have been strengthened. Since the forces that were deployed initially were well thinned out by our artillerymen,” writes Rudenko.
The authors of the telegram channel “Dontstopwar” working in the Kherson direction reveal details of the Ukrainian losses:
“The 97th (brigade) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received it from the artillery and ran away. They threw in the 26th Separate Mechanized Brigade as a reserve, and they just received it properly. They escaped. Their transmissions were intercepted, that they had lost contact with the attackers, they were panicking, they were escaping in vehicles, abandoning their comrades, the infantry was crawling through the forest belts. We are waiting for the second wave; according to information, they will throw the 60th Ukrainian Armed Forces for meat. No one moved from their spot. Nobody will give up the Kherson direction. Among ours there are 200-300 without.”
Military analyst Boris Rozhin notes in his blog that Ukrainian militants will continue to try to attack Russian positions:
“It is expected that the enemy will continue to probe our defenses in the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions in the near future. Forces are also being accumulated in Nikolaev to attempt a direct attack on Kherson.”
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov notes that the main problem of the North Military District previously was the lack of coordination and communication between various units and fronts operating in the special operation zone. With the appointment of a single commander, Sergei Surovikin, in his opinion, this should change.
“I believe that if we manage to do everything correctly, we will survive. For some reason I am sure that we will make it in time. We reporters, no matter how crazy it may sound, often feed on the sensations we get from the fluids,” writes Sladkov.
Meanwhile, residents of the village of Gavrilovka, Kherson region, note that the Ukrainian army is transporting YARM sea mines, which can probably be floated downstream to the Kakhovka hydroelectric station to blow up the dam.
At the same time, acting The head of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, recalled that the authorities began releasing water from the Kakhovka reservoir to avoid flooding of downstream settlements. Along with the evacuation from the region, the entry of civilians into the region was prohibited.
“Due to the tense situation on the contact line and the increased threat of a massive missile and artillery strike on the territory of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson, a decision was made from today to close the entrance to the right bank part of the region for a period of 7 days,” Saldo said.
