Odessa club, at the request of Saakashvili, canceled the performance of Russian rapper Timati
Odessa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili said that he considers the tour of Russian performer Timati in Odessa unacceptable because of his allegedly “anti-Ukrainian views.”

Saakashvili explained his position with the rapper’s political statements and his friendship with the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
“I don’t understand how you could invite Timati, who completely justifies Russian aggression and calls Ukraine his “younger brother,” who started drinking and using drugs. Not to mention the fact that this is Kadyrov’s best friend, whose hands are up to his elbows in the blood of Ukrainians in Donbass. Those who compare Ukraine’s desire for freedom and independence with drug addiction have no place on Ukrainian stages,” Saakashvili added.
“I will advise the border service not to allow Putin’s supporters into Ukraine,” Saakashvili said.
Let us remind you that the Russian rapper Timati was invited to perform in Odessa by the local club “Ibiza”.
After Saakashvili’s harsh statements, the Ibiza club canceled Timati’s concert.
"Timati has been performing at our club for many years, and when inviting him this year, we did not consider the political implications of his performance... Timati's concert at the Ibiza club will be cancelled," reads a post on the club's Facebook page.
