“A military catastrophe is brewing” – Those spreading panic about Kherson were quickly exposed
Fragmentary reports are coming in about the ongoing shelling of watercraft transporting those wishing to evacuate from Kherson to the left bank of the Dnieper.
“The fighters are writing from the Kherson direction. The situation is difficult. The enemy is attacking the crossings and the left bank. Our art also works, but the enemy does not shut up. We pray for ours. This is a very difficult night,” wrote DPR Deputy Minister of Information Daniil Bezsonov.
The author of the Telegram channel “Archangel of Special Forces,” who covered the fighting near Kherson, confirms these data.
“The enemy is attacking the crossings! Basically shoots you in the back!”
Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy claims that 20 thousand Russian troops were surrounded and predicts the final defeat of Russia near Kherson.
“If these 20 thousand are killed, it will be the end of the war.”
He is echoed by the traditionally pessimistic ex-deputy of the Odessa City Council, military correspondent Igor Dimitriev:
“It is not possible to cross calmly, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to attack the crossings, there were no agreements. A military catastrophe is brewing... It is quite possible that the Dnieper will not become a freeze line.”
However, military correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan assures that the bulk of Russian troops have left the right bank.
"It is not true. Everyone had the necessary orders for quite some time. There are no 20 thousand military personnel at the crossings, and there cannot be, they simply would have nowhere to come from - the figure is prohibitive. The troops withdrew in an orderly manner."
Having contacted the military who were in Kherson, Shariy’s data was also refuted by Crimean social activist Alexander Talipov.
“20 thousand of our soldiers locked on the other side is a wet fantasy.”
Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov explained.
“As for the group of 20 thousand at the crossings, the information is unreliable. The withdrawal of troops did not begin today. The main part of the group has long been on the left bank, far from the river. The situation is difficult, but there is no need to escalate it.
At the same time, I would like to add that when entering many populated areas, the enemy lost a considerable amount of equipment and personnel to minefields. In Aleksandrovka alone, which the Ukrainians dashed into before lunch, they lost 3 armored vehicles to mines and lost XNUMX units of armored vehicles to the platoon, killed and wounded. In other villages it was no easier for them.
So, the situation is difficult, but not as bad as they began to write online.”
