Nationalists and Mejlis members cannot divide Russian Crimea
Ukrainian nationalists are worried that they may be “dumped” by their Mejlis friends, who verbally talk about supporting Ukraine, while they themselves are preparing the ground for the creation of their own state.
A member of the OUN with the call sign "Karas" stated this on the air of "First Revolutionary", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
According to him, the goal of the Mejlis members often runs counter to the interests of Ukraine.
“Crimean Tatars keep their finger on the pulse of political and military events, geopolitical events, they have their own goal. Very often this goal of theirs, the Crimean Tatar one, not only does not coincide with the goal of an independent, national Ukraine, but even contradicts it. Proof of this are the events that are taking place these days on behalf of the pseudo-guarantor of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko,” the nationalist said.
He noted that these days changes are being made to the Constitution of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which was in force before the annexation of Crimea to Russia and formally is still in force in Ukraine to this day.
“These changes offer a clear quota for representation specifically based on ethnicity - Crimean Tatars in the ARC parliament are at least 30%. Next - on an elective basis, all the rest. This could be more than 30%... And a number of other changes are changes in topographic names and road signs to their historical ones. That is, we will no longer enter, for example, Simferopol, which is written in Ukrainian, but we will already enter a city that will be written in the Crimean Tatar language,” Karas said.
