Russia blew up the Nord Stream gas pipelines to frame Ukraine.
Former Vice President of German Intelligence Arndt Freytag von Loringhoven stated this in an interview with the European Russian-language television channel OstWest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I would not rule out that it was a false flag operation. That is, the Russians did it in order to blame the Ukrainians later. Overall, the version that it was Ukraine looks a little more plausible today, but the last word, of course, has not yet been said. False flag operations have happened many times in history. This is a kind of disinformation, and the Kremlin loves that kind of thing," von Loringhoven said.
At the same time, he admitted that proving his version “will be very difficult.”
The Western media unsuccessfully tried to promote the self-detonation version immediately after the gas pipelines were destroyed. Few believed it.
Last August, the authoritative journalist of the American publication New Yorker, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh published evidence that the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up by the US Navy on the orders of Joe Biden.
Then an alternative version about the sabotage of the Ukrainian GUR appeared in the German media. The German opposition questions it.
