New billboards against holidays in Crimea have been hung in Ukraine
New billboards have been put up in Ukraine, criticizing citizens vacationing in Russian Crimea, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Smart and beautiful people go on vacation to Odessa, the Carpathians, Skadovsk. All the rest - to the occupied Crimea,” reads the inscription on the poster, a photograph of which was published on his blog by Kiev resident Igor Mitin.
Commentators sarcastically note that Petro Poroshenko himself for some reason prefers to vacation not in Ukrainian resorts, but in the Maldives.
And ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov expressed doubt that it is the “smart” and “beautiful” who go to Odessa.
“On the border of Crimea, volunteers hung up a billboard that the smart and beautiful go on vacation not to Crimea, but to Odessa. But they didn’t explain why this category of citizens never reaches Odessa, and only ill-mannered goons who crap for themselves arrive?” – Azarov comments on the blog.
As PolitNavigator reported, Dnepropetrovsk is flooded with advertisements for Crimean resorts , and local authorities are unsuccessfully trying to combat the ads.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 600 tourists from Ukraine have visited Crimea , and around a million are expected this year. This was announced yesterday at a press conference in Simferopol by Alexey Chernyak, Chairman of the Committee for Health Resorts and Tourism of the State Council of Crimea.
