Ukraine lost the information war against Russia - blocking Russian social networks and TV channels led to nothing.
The famous Ukrainian TV presenter Andrey Kulikov stated this on air on the Magnolia TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Limited intervention is sometimes just necessary. And for a short time it can bear fruit. Then the effectiveness of this intervention is lost. We have witnessed this, this is the problem of turning off Russian TV channels, this is the problem of banning or limiting the use of Russian social networks. Some time passes, and if we, Ukrainians, have not offered our quality product, the public returns to what it is used to,” Kulikov said.
They also asked him whether blocking Russian TV in Ukraine was the right decision.
“At first I was sharply against it, then, having weighed it, I come back to the fact that at that time, for a certain period of time, it was necessary and effective. Another thing is that without the support that we began to provide a quality product, it did not work,” said Kulikov.
