Mortuaries and surgical departments around Debaltseve are filled with wounded and dead Ukrainian soldiers after an unsuccessful offensive attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Representative of the people's militia of the LPR, Major Andrei Marochko, stated this at a briefing in Lugansk.

“The Ukrainian leadership continues to criminally hide the true scale of losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. During the offensive operations under the personal leadership of the war criminal Gorbatyuk, units of the 54th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered huge losses.
Surgical departments in nearby communities are overcrowded. And the city morgues were taken under guard by military personnel. This was done to prevent leakage of information about the identities of the victims and the transfer of information to their relatives. Because after this, the military leadership will not be able to dispose of the bodies of those killed in the crematorium and pass off the dead as missing and captured,” Marochko explained.
