Maidan activists in Kyiv are squabbling over the seat of the “anti-corruption fighter”

A protest took place near the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. Its participants protested against the appointment of people involved in corruption to the competition commission, which selects the anti-corruption prosecutor, and demanded that other people whose activities are related to the fight against corruption be appointed in their place.

The protesters staged a performance exposing the lies of the Prosecutor General. One of the activists portrayed prosecutor Shokin himself, who lied when answering public questions. After each statement from the “prosecutor,” his nose was “extended,” like in the fairy tale “Pinocchio.”
