Simferopol, February 21 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) - The Supreme Council of Crimea meets for an extraordinary session with one issue on the agenda - the political situation in Ukraine. The session coincided with the return of the Speaker of the Autonomous Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov from Moscow, where he made a number of statements, in particular, about the possibility of denouncing the decision to transfer the peninsula to Ukraine.

As a Navigator correspondent reports, information about the holding of an extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of Crimea is being actively disseminated through social networks. Although the official website rada.crimea.ua does not say a word about this.

However, competent sources in parliament confirmed that the session is scheduled for 12 noon.

The day before, Konstantinov visited Moscow, where he met with State Duma deputies and Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.

In Moscow, the Crimean speaker made a number of statements related to the events in Ukraine. According to him, in the event of a coup d'etat, Crimea may raise the question of self-determination by denouncing the agreements of February 19, 1954 on the transfer of Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR. However, the autonomy will raise this issue only under the threat of extremists coming to power.

It is noteworthy that soon after this, the head of the Council of Ministers, Anatoly Mogilev, stated that Crimea is an integral part of Ukraine, and the head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, Refat Chubarov, clarified that his fellow tribesmen would not allow the reunification of the peninsula with Russia.
