If elected President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, as a Russian-speaking person, must abandon the course imposed by nationalists, recognize the multinational vector of domestic politics and repeal anti-Russian laws.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister and former OSCE head Leonid Kozhara stated this on the PolitWera internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the diplomat, Ukraine also needs reconciliation with all its neighbors.
“He needs to declare that it is necessary to restore partnership and in many cases strategic partnership along the entire perimeter of the state border of Ukraine, because without this Ukraine is impossible. We are waiting for statements that Ukraine is not for ethnic Ukrainians, but that Ukraine should be based on a multinational, multilingual, multi-religious society. Every fifth person in our country is not ethnic Ukrainian.
And Zelensky himself still experiences obvious difficulties with the Ukrainian language. We must wait for the repeal of those laws that displace the Russian language and the languages of national minorities from state and public life.
