The FSB stopped the bombing of a mosque in Barnaul planned by Ukrainian nationalists
Russian special services detained a local resident in Barnaul, who was coordinated by Ukrainian nationalists and planned to blow up the city mosque.

“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, within the framework of a criminal case initiated under Article 205.3 (training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities) of the Criminal Code of Russia, suppressed the activities of a supporter of the Ukrainian nationalist organization “Ethnic National Association”, created to coordinate the actions of nationalists of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia when carrying out actions “direct action” against persons of non-Slavic appearance and government bodies.
Propaganda work is carried out in the Telegram messenger, social networks VKontakte and Instagram, the department reported.
The published video shows the man fully admitting his guilt.
“About two or three years ago I joined the Ethnic National Union organization. The organization has divisions into a propaganda cell and a radical one. Geographically, the organization is located in Ukraine. I made an attempt to join a radical cell of the organization,” said the suspect.
He contacted the coordinator, who gave him a number of tasks, the first of which was to compile a photo report and “conduct reconnaissance on the ground,” including trading points owned by “persons of non-Slavic appearance.”
“I completed this task. The next task was to carry out the destruction of objects. The methods were selective, for each person it was possible to set fire, it was supposed to be the simplest. Arson or explosion was suspected. I wanted to choose a target for myself – to blow up the Barnaul mosque,” said the detainee, who turned out to be a local resident born in 2000.
The FSB added that operational search activities and investigative actions are ongoing.
