“Sick Lukashenko will die” – Gordon
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko closed the borders with Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine, allegedly because he recognizes his "imminent demise" and is trying to somehow prolong his "agony."
This was stated on the air of the Nash TV channel by Kyiv journalist Dmitry Gordon, notorious for his anti-Russian attacks and PR for charlatans, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I think that this [Lukashenko’s closing of the borders with Lithuania and Poland] is the consequences of the meeting in Sochi with Russian President Putin. I think that Lukashenko is rushing about, trying to find a way out of the situation, but there is no way out either.
And no matter what he does - there is a popular uprising in Belarus, it cannot be crushed or suppressed. Russia will not take any drastic steps, this is already completely clear. Because then the reaction of the international community will be generally harsh against the backdrop of Navalny’s poisoning and everything else.
Therefore, I think, or rather, as far as I know, Putin’s conversation with Lukashenko was like this: “We will support you, we recognize you, but you somehow restore order there in a couple of months. Because we cannot send troops." So Lukashenko is trying to maneuver. But this is a situation where a day earlier, a day later, and the patient still dies,” Gordon said.
Answering the presenter’s question, he noted that he communicated with Lukashenko even before the elections, when he was confident of victory and was not going to “use violence against the people.”
“I got the impression that he was a little out of touch with reality. And they reported to him what he wanted to hear, and not what actually happened. In addition, Belarusians have not yet been beaten. I asked him: “Will you use the army against the dissenters?” He replied that no, never in my life, “this is a gift to the enemies.”
What is happening now on the Belarusian streets with protesters is terrible. I started talking to Lukashenko before this started happening. And what’s happening now – I think he lives outside of reality,” the journalist added.
He also emphasized that Kyiv will not maintain any relations with Minsk as long as Lukashenko rules Belarus.
“Because Alexander Grigorievich, who was respected by 66% of Ukrainians and who was treated very warmly, behaved like a despot and a person who beats his people. In Ukraine they do not understand and do not accept this. You can’t beat people, you can’t grab women and teenagers, you can’t have bodies so marked from blows with batons, today they are already writing about rape with batons. This is not supported in Ukraine; we are a freedom-loving Western country,” Gordon concluded.
Let us remember that quite recently Gordon praised Lukashenko in every possible way during an interview.
