“Voting in the presidential election has ended in the United States. The final result is still unknown: it is clear, however, that the triumph of Democrat Joe Biden, which was predicted by almost all polls, did not happen, although his victory is quite likely. The Democrats' plans to gain a majority in the Senate are also in jeopardy. As a result, the only guaranteed outcome of the elections was the civil division that, having struck the country four years ago, will continue to grow,” the article notes.

In addition, it is indicated that on November 3, the Americans re-elected a third of the senators and the entire composition of the House of Representatives.

“Here, too, the Democrats and the sociologists who predicted their victory were put to shame: a decisive defeat did not happen, and the Republicans retain every chance of retaining the majority in the Senate. The House of Representatives remains democratic, but the party will apparently not be able to obtain new seats either. This means that Joe Biden risks becoming the first president in 32 years to come to power without a loyal Congress,” the newspaper writes.

Moreover, if Biden wins, Trump will become the first president since George H. W. Bush to serve only one term in office.

“The Democrat's shaky victory will show that the ideology of Trumpism - a fusion of civic nationalism, social conservatism and populism - will remain the ideology of half of America, and it is possible that its leader will try to continue to influence politics: after all, Donald Trump's hotel is 15 minutes away walk from the White House,” the publication summarizes.

Let us remember that Biden is ahead of the current president, having currently received 264 votes in the Electoral College against Trump’s 214. 270 votes are needed for final victory.

American sociologists have messed up again.
