The vast majority of Ukrainians refused to consider their country independent – survey
The majority of Ukrainians surveyed believe that their country is fully or partially dependent on external forces. And only 14% believe in the independence of Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the data of a social survey conducted by the Rating group in December of last year, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Thus, 35% of respondents do not consider Ukraine independent, 40% believe that the country is under partial external control.
“Only every sixth person thinks that Ukraine is a completely independent state. External controllability is often indicated by older people, residents of the East and South of the country, opponents of Ukraine’s entry into the EU and NATO, and those who are nostalgic for the USSR,” the sociological service clarifies.
