The Russian president makes decisions based on the research of dozens of scientific institutes, Polish security expert and chairman of the Polish Geopolitical Society's Rzeszow branch Andrzej Zapalowski told the Polish newspaper Nasz Dziennik.

“Putin awakened a sense of pride in Russians and filled them with hope that he could restore the country’s position in the international arena,” the expert admits. – After years of humiliation during the Yeltsin era, modern Russia has acquired the ability to resist the policies of the European Union, the USA, and China. In addition, it has moved from the level of a commodity-producing state to the level of a country that boasts the most advanced technologies in the defense industry. If it can force the world to recognize its control in Antarctica and transfer technologies from the sphere of weapons to peaceful life, it will have to solve only one problem: how, against the backdrop of the rapidly increasing population of the Earth, to change trends and improve its demographic indicators, that is, the ratio of area to number of inhabitants.” .
The publication’s interlocutor also assessed the effectiveness of the Russian president’s game with the West.
“Putin is a skilled player. This is not, as many say, a warlike king, but a person who makes decisions based on the research of dozens of scientific institutes dealing with geopolitical, economic problems and military strategies. In this regard, Russia resembles China. However, these two countries have been underestimated in the West for a long time, and now this has come back to haunt us,” Zapalovsky emphasized.
