Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko are dragging Ukraine into NATO: an evil and a good policeman
It seems that in the process of pushing Ukraine into NATO, Petro Poroshenko is playing the role of the “good” policeman, and Arseniy Yatsenyuk is the “evil” policeman.
This conclusion can be drawn from the speeches on channel 112 of deputies from the presidential and prime minister’s parties.

At the moment, they do not want to see Ukraine in NATO, said Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Arkady Kornatsky.
According to him, there are no trends in Ukraine today to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
“They don’t want to see us in NATO because we have completely unbalanced legislation, an economic crisis, a war in the east, and in the current politics there remains a large number of populist political forces that make up a negative political climate in the country,” Kornatsky said.
At the same time, his parliamentary colleague, People’s Deputy from the Popular Front Maxim Polyakov, objected that the prospects for joining NATO are “very real,” but it is only necessary to develop the positive dynamics of the economy.
“We are already following all other paths. Previously, we could not even physically join NATO, because we were fully armed with Russian weapons and were still integrated into the Soviet military system. Now we are slowly moving to arming, equipping and training NATO,” Polyakov said.
