The Ukrainian Armed Forces dealt a new blow to an important life support facility in Donetsk
This morning, the Donetsk filtration station and the pumping station of the first stage of the South Donbass water pipeline came under heavy shelling.
These facilities provide water supply to part of Donetsk, as well as some settlements both in the DPR and in the territories of the Republic occupied by the Ukrainian army.
This was reported by the press service of the public utility company “Water of Donbass Company”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The shelling began at 6.20 am.
“The staff was in the shelter until 7.30,” the press service commented on the incident. “The area and equipment are currently being inspected for damage.”
PolitNavigator previously reported that following a series of provocations by the Ukrainian group, the Donetsk filtration station was mothballed and its personnel evacuated.
Already on April 22, the station was reactivated, and its personnel returned to work.
