Following Crimea, American spy planes began circling near Transnistria
American reconnaissance aircraft have increased their flights near the border with Transnistria. According to local television channel TSV, a US Air Force MC-12W Liberty reconnaissance aircraft has circled the border three times since the beginning of the year, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The American reconnaissance aircraft flew from the territory of the Romanian airbase Mikhail-Kogalniceanu, skirted Odessa and cruised through the airspace of Ukraine near the borders with Transnistria.
"A careful analysis of the spy plane's flight path reveals that the Americans are most likely interested in the warehouses in the village of Kolbasnoye. They are guarded by OGRV ( Operational Group of Russian Forces ) troops in Transnistria," the statement reads.
At the same time, an American reconnaissance aircraft flew into the territory of neutral Moldova several times.
“To avoid any illusions, this is an American reconnaissance plane. Probably getting ready for the sowing season. If someone thinks that this adds peace, then I strongly doubt it,” former Deputy Foreign Minister of Moldova Valeriy Ostalep said in his blog.
