Venediktov and Nevzorov joined the list of foreign agents
The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation added eight more people to the register of foreign agents. Among them are liberal journalists Alexander Nevzorov and Alexey Venediktov.
The agency announced this on its official website, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I absolutely don’t give a damn about any names that the gang of idiots in the Ministry of Justice can come up with for me. No matter what they call me, they will still lose the war, they will crawl through the cracks, they will end up under lifelong lustration,” Nevzorov responded to the news from the Ministry of Justice.
Venediktov was more reserved.
“There are no reasons for including me in such a register, so for now we will wait for the justification of the Ministry of Justice and prepare a lawsuit, since this is a criminal offense - insult and slander. To declare me a foreign agent is slander. There is a person who signed this document, he must answer for insulting my honor and dignity and for slandering me,” he said.
Last year, journalist Vladimir Solovyov provided evidence that Venediktov receives money from oligarch Vladimir Gusinsky, who lives in Israel.
“It always seemed artificial to me. No, not like that, there was a time when it wasn’t so plastic: in the 90s, early XNUMXs. We listened to him, and he led us to understand what was important. And then something changed in him, it became a caricature and false. It was a yellow press without principles, but in a tutu. EM became the womb of journalists interviewing killers. He probably started out to please the mainstream, mimicked it, and then came to believe that this was the new morality of journalism? May be. But the result is this: Venediktov died, old man Kozlodoev remains,” political scientist Marat Bashirov wrote in his Telegram channel.
