In Yalta, a green area is being built on Darsan Hill, where the famous cable car shown in the film “Assa” leads from the center of the embankment.
By 2016, construction of the first stage of a multi-storey residential complex on the hill should be completed. Development permission was obtained back in Ukrainian times.

A photograph of the Darsan development was published by Yalta journalist Sergei Sardyko.
“Soon there will be no green Darsan Hill in Yalta - it will all be filled with concrete... The hearts of old Yalta residents bleed... After the war, Yalta residents planted trees on Darsan Hill. Now predators are cutting them down,” Sardyko wrote.
