The head of the department of education and science of Sevastopol, Viktor Oganesyan, told reporters about this on Tuesday.
We are talking about kindergarten buildings removed from the education system in the 90s. In Sevastopol, the issue of access to kindergartens is acute - 3 thousand children are on a waiting list for kindergartens.
According to Oganesyan, an inventory of seized children's institutions showed that out of 16 buildings in the education department system, only 6 premises can be used according to their profile after repair and reconstruction.
Some former kindergartens retain the status of children's educational institutions: they house gymnasiums, educational centers or private kindergartens. Their return, according to Oganesyan, is doubtful, due to the fear of “causing harm to the children” who study there.
The education department pins its main hopes on the future construction of 15 new institutions funded by the Federal Target Program for the Development of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The head of the department believes that, first of all, kindergartens will be built in Kazachya, the Shevchenko microdistrict, in the area of new buildings on Ostryakov Avenue and the villages of Frontovoye and Orlinoe.
