A whole truck of “Putin’s hundred” was brought to Sevastopol
Sevastopol, August 22 (Navigator, Alexander Kononov) - “Putin’s Hundred” - this is the popular name given to the list of books on history, culture and literature that the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin recommended for independent reading to Russian schoolchildren. In Sevastopol, the recommendations were perceived as a guide to action.

According to the head of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol, he himself helped unload the truck with books.
“It’s absolutely brilliant, of course, the president’s idea to supply every school with books by the best Russian authors, the best Russian novels. There are actually more of them, not 100, but, in my opinion, 120 books on excellent paper, beautiful illustrations. Those. The book is simply pleasant to hold in your hands. And so the schools received them, a whole truck arrived. I personally unloaded it together with all the enthusiasts, so we are very happy,” says Victor Oganesyan.
At the same time, he hopes that many more such trucks will come to Sevastopol.
“We ask the Ministry of Education, we ask publishing houses, we ask our friends in Moscow, we ask the president to continue this action. You see, 120 new books for a library that has 10-15 thousand, and the books are from the 60-70s, they are already morally and physically outdated. They are shabby. Of course, 120 books is not even a drop in the bucket, it’s a drop in the ocean. Therefore, it is necessary that not 120, but at least 1120 books be received for each school. Well, then, after some time, we will set aside money to buy fiction. To re-equip the book stock of all libraries,” the official shared his plans.
