The Internet ridicules Zuckerberg's refusal to open Ukrainian Facebook
Kiev
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg responded with a tactful refusal to Petro Poroshenko's offer to open a Ukrainian office for the social network Facebook.
Poroshenko previously sent a corresponding appeal to Zuckerberg , complaining that he was dissatisfied with the social network's policies towards Ukrainian users.

The move was prompted by complaints from Ukrainian nationalist users who complained that Zuckerberg's social network had proposed deleting posts featuring a photograph of a girl holding a medal posthumously awarded to her father for his participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Facebook administration cited complaints about nudity in the photo as the reason for the post's deletion.

“Will we open an office in Ukraine? Perhaps we will consider this issue over time. There are many advantages to having a company's employees, especially the specialists who create the product, not scattered around the world, but gathered in several offices. Therefore, in the regions where we have sales and partners, it makes sense to have local teams,” Zuckerberg delicately noted at the briefing.
He also clarified that Ukrainian users of the social network Facebook were blocked due to insults against Russians.
The story of the failure of Poroshenko’s idea of a Ukrainian Facebook has already begun to be ridiculed in cartoons.
