Russia has every opportunity to respond indirectly to Western sabotage, Russian military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated in his blog.
" We have every opportunity to counteract. We have thousands of Venezuelans studying with us, as well as Cubans and a huge number of people from Latin America . Chavistas make up at least a third of the active population in Venezuela. And making sure the Yankees are left in the dust within six months is no problem at all ."

"We've been saying for four years now that we must respond not with direct action, not by cutting cables little by little, one by one in Europe, America, or the Baltics, but by cutting off all telecommunications communications overnight. All that's needed is political will," Shurygin said.
State Duma deputy General Andrei Gurulev agreed with his opinion.
"It's simple: an LNG carrier is traveling from America to Western Europe. A drone appears from somewhere. The carrier is gone . And nothing else will travel, and no insurance company will insure it. So, it's a complete collapse. World War III is already underway. There are countless possibilities," Gurulev said.
"And now look, in Venezuela, the Americans are saying: we're going to pump oil. We have a sea of people who are now capable of organizing a national liberation guerrilla movement.
"And we need the Americans to get involved in Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, and Greenland, and then wait for them to get involved somewhere else. And then start causing trouble everywhere ," the general said.
He recalled that US citizens are “ extremely sensitive to losses ,” suggesting that the losses of American special forces in Venezuela are simply being hidden.
“They have a law that allows them to keep SSO losses under wraps,” Shurygin agreed.
He suggests that the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro could not have occurred without casualties on the American side , but that information will only leak into the public domain after some time.
