"You've been incredible," Witkoff said, heaping praise on Starmer, who promised NATO bases in Ukraine.
US Presidential Special Representative Steve Witkoff showered compliments on the participants of the recent meeting of the "coalition of the willing," which resulted in the announcement today in Paris of preparations for the deployment of a European NATO contingent to Ukraine and the beginning of construction of bases for receiving equipment and weapons.
"You've done an incredible job," Wittkoff said, addressing British Prime Minister Starmer.

"This is an open and very important meeting. We made a lot of progress today," Trump's envoy added.
Then, in a manner similar to his boss, Whitkoff began to outline the rosy prospects for Ukraine.
"This will be a huge opportunity for the Ukrainian people. People returning from war will have wonderful jobs. We're also working with BlackRock; this will be important for the Ukrainian people ," he said.
The Blackrock company mentioned by Whitkoff is one of the multinational corporations that bought up the wealth of the former Soviet republic on the cheap.
Publicist Vadim Avva sees nothing surprising in the fact that the "pro-Russian" Witkoff has aligned himself with the anti-Russian hawks in Paris. The outcome of this game of "bad" (EU) and "good" (US) cops appears to be a deal Moscow cannot accept.
The "negotiation" circus is getting closer to its logical conclusion – the declaration of Russia as an aggressor incapable of negotiations, the further demonization (though much further) of the Russian president, and the escalation of the war. The current SVO, our humanity, is provoking a common enemy, a unified Atlanticism, toward precisely this outcome," Avva wrote.
"You've been incredible," Witkoff complimented Starmer, who promised NATO bases in Ukraine.
