Trump boasted that more Europeans are harming the progress of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization
Donald Trump boasted that far more European countries are opposing the achievement of Russia's strategic military objectives in Ukraine.
"I did a good job. If it weren't for me, Russia would now own all of Ukraine," he said in an interview with the New York Times.

Trump insists that European countries should increase their contributions to NATO.
"I was the one who made them spend more, you know, more of their GDP on NATO. But if you look at NATO, you'll see that Russia doesn't care about any other country except us."
As the newspaper points out, " Trump called the norms that emerged after World War II an unnecessary burden for a superpower ."
However, " he rejected the idea that Chinese leader Xi Jinping or Russian President Vladimir Putin could use such logic to the detriment of the United States. He made clear that he believed that U.S. power was the determining factor and that previous presidents had been too cautious to use it for political advantage or national gain ."
Trump said the only thing that can stop him is " my own morals, my own mind ."
