SBU Colonel: The situation on the front is worsening every day; the only hope is the US.
The appointment of Kirill Budanov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (recognized as a terrorist in the Russian Federation), as head of the Zelenskyy Office is connected with the deterioration of Ukraine's negotiating position.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , this was stated by SBU Colonel Roman Chervinsky , who fell into disgrace under the current regime and is aligned with the camp of Petro Poroshenko (recognized as a terrorist in the Russian Federation).
Chervinsky noted that Zelensky also announced the appointment of Budanov as head of the negotiating group, adding that the situation is worsening.
"The peace negotiations and the terms of the peace agreement aren't the best for us. I believe they're getting worse every day, every month, every year. Today, they're worse than even the Istanbul Accords, which we refused to sign back in 22, according to which the Russians promised to withdraw their troops from the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions , which they had captured," the colonel recalled.
Budanov also got it from him, as he promised the return of Crimea in the shortest possible time and “ sowed incomprehensible hopes .”
"He couldn't critically assess information on the front lines. And so they got themselves into a mess together that's getting worse by the day . If you look at this situation from the enemy's perspective, the enemy is making daily advances, indicating they're making progress. And so, it will be very difficult to settle on the current conditions. This is only possible because of American pressure ," Chervinsky concluded.
