Liberal: The US will not be able to put its imperialist paw on Russia's throat
The transfer of US control over Venezuela's oil production industry will not have negative consequences for Russia.
This was stated by Sergei Vakulenko, an expert at the Berlin Carnegie Center (an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation), in an interview with Deutsche Welle (a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Venezuela's oil is mostly bought by China. China is probably an enemy of the US. But the thing is, that's about 600-700 barrels per day. And China could easily find somewhere else to get this oil. For example, in Russia . And Oleg Derepasky's theory that the US will lay its imperialist paw on Venezuelan oil and then be able to keep oil prices around $50 per barrel, thereby putting its imperialist paw on Russia's throat, is also far from reality," the liberal believes.
He is convinced that this scenario cannot be realized in practice.
"If only because producing Venezuelan oil at $50 per barrel is economically impossible. And one more thing: In order to even slightly increase Venezuelan oil production, it will take many years and a lot of money ," Vakulenko concluded.
