An elderly man set himself on fire today in the center of St. Petersburg, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“On October 7 at 16:57 on Ligovsky Prospekt 30, a man born in 1949 attempted to commit self-arson. According to preliminary data, the man is registered with the PND,” the message says.
According to Fontanka, the man lived with his daughter. For almost 20 years he has been running a company that rents and manages non-residential real estate, with an office on Ligovsky Prospekt, a kilometer from the scene of the emergency.
