The OSCE reprimanded Ukraine for censorship

The law allowing websites to be blocked without a court order threatens Ukrainian citizens' free access to information on the Internet.

“I urge legislators to seriously reconsider the text of the bill and balance security concerns with citizens' rights to free expression and a free media,” he said.

According to Désir, the bill lacks provisions to ensure judicial control and a proper decision-making process to block access to Internet information resources.
