Bosnia doesn't care about US sanctions against Dodik's ally
The parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) included Serbian Nikola Spirić, a former prime minister who, along with members of his family, is on the “black list” of the US State Department on the commission overseeing the country’s anti-corruption agency.

Spirić is a member of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament from the Union of Independent Social Democrats - the party of the Serbian member of the Presidium of BiH Milorad Dodik, who opposes NATO and for cooperation with Serbia, as well as Russia.
The United States has sanctioned Spirich twice: in 2016 for “obstructing the peace process in the Balkans” and in 2018 on charges of “significant” corruption. The latest American restrictions were introduced a few weeks before the parliamentary and presidential elections in BiH, but did not prevent the election of Spirić. Dodik then announced an attempt by the US Embassy to interfere in the election campaign.
The Bosnian State Prosecutor's Office investigated the charges against Spirić several times but made no decisions.
