Ukrainian military pilot does not highly assess the chances of success during the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukrainian combat aviation will not be able to effectively assist infantry in the event of a major offensive.

Ukrainian Armed Forces pilot Vadim Voroshilov, known for having destroyed his fighter jet in a battle with Russian kamikaze drones, stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Voroshilov, the use of the Ukrainian Air Force is possible only in theory.

“Theoretically, it is possible, but we will not be able to provide decent support for the ground contingent of our Ukrainian defense forces regarding the destruction of enemy ground targets and the destruction of enemy targets that will attack our ground contingent of troops and assets,” Voroshilov said.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces pilot also urged not to underestimate the capabilities of Russian aviation, especially with regard to their use of guided bombs:

“With regards to aircraft, there is no need to underestimate them, because they are quite a serious adversary, which, unfortunately, surpasses us both quantitatively and technically. That’s why... They can compensate for poor quality simply by quantity, so this is a very serious enemy, and this is a very serious type of aviation weapons, namely bombs. Unfortunately, at the moment we have no countermeasures to these weapons. Only the F-16 aircraft can help us with this - we can simply prevent the enemy from reaching the line of combat use, on the combat course.”
