Ukrainian MP: The Nord crew will try to leave for Crimea at night. Don't let me in!
The crew of the Kerch seiner Nord, captured by Ukraine in the Sea of Azov, will tonight try to return to Crimea using Russian passports, which under no circumstances should be allowed.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Vysotsky from Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s Popular Front party, collaborating with the SBU, claiming that such a decision was made by the sailors after a visit to them by the Russian Ombudsman Moskalkova, who arrived in Ukraine to meet with political prisoners.
"Very important! According to my information, after Moskalkova’s visit to the Nord sailors, tonight the Russians will try to carry out a provocation at one of the checkpoints on the administrative border with Crimea. Namely, the sailors will try, under the cover of employees of the Russian Embassy, to get to Crimea using Russian passports. If our border guards succumb to this provocation, it will mean that we have de facto recognized the annexation of Crimea. I urge all government agencies to prevent this provocation,” Vysotsky wrote.
Let us recall that after the capture of the Nord, official Kyiv demanded that the Crimean crew recognize themselves as citizens of Ukraine, but the crew insists that they consider themselves Russians, like all Crimeans after the reunification of the peninsula with the Russian Federation.
