Ukraine will be able to recruit a maximum of another five hundred thousand soldiers, which will only be enough for a year and a half of hostilities at the current intensity.
Ex-adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich stated this on his Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think we’ll get another five hundred thousand mobilized, but then that’s all. Given the current nature of hostilities, this is a year and a half,” Arestovich said.
He emphasized that even without taking into account losses, Ukraine will not be able to return to the 1991 borders.
“And it’s not even about losses. In order to solve the tasks that we heroically set for ourselves, the 1991 borders, the number of armed forces must be increased; the existing units will not be enough. It needs to be increased by a factor of at least one and a half times.
Even if we had zero losses, we will not solve these problems. The Russians are constantly creating new units and formations. But we don’t create,” summed up the former official.
