This was announced at a press conference in Kiev by Andrey Blinov, an expert on finance and economics, head of the “Successful Country” project. He noted that it seemed that in August last year, which ended with the defeat of the Ukrainian group in the Ilovaisk cauldron, Ukrainian coal production fell to minimum.
“It seemed that in the fall we would rise from just over two million tons to at least two and a half,” the expert shared his expectations. – This year there was a month of March, in which Ukraine produced only 1,9 million tons. This is the absolute minimum, and I don’t really understand what we had in March of this year - either we were happy about the IMF loan, or we were upset after Debealtsevo. The same failure occurred in June. That is, out of seven months we produced less than two million tons. This is the absolute minimum in Ukraine since World War II. After 1943–1944, we have never produced so little coal.”
