Kyivans have cold radiators, but Klitschko promises warmth “in a week or two”
Many Kiev residents still have cold radiators, because when the coolant starts up, there are gusts in the networks, but in a week or two the heating system will work stably, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This promise was made by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko on the air of “Snidanku z 1 + 1”, reports the mayor’s press service.

“At the beginning of the heating season, due to an increase in pressure in the pipes where there are problem areas, breakthroughs occur. They are quickly eliminated by emergency services. In a week or two, the heating system will operate stably,” the mayor’s press service quotes.
According to Klitschko, now educational institutions - kindergartens, schools, as well as hospitals are already receiving hot water and heat.
“In general, the city is ready for the heating season,” he assures.
The mayor also noted that many communications in the city are in dilapidated condition.
He promised to launch a program to modernize the water and heat supply system.
“We will implement a program to replace old pipes. This is a fairly expensive process. But, nevertheless, we are already investing much more money in modernizing communications than the Kyivenergo company invested,” Klitschko concluded.
