Traffic congestion between Kherson region and Crimea has been eliminated
The capacity of border checkpoints on the border of Crimea with the Kherson region has increased significantly.
The absence of queues was recorded by the deputy head of the military-civil administration of the Kherson region, Kyrylo Stremousov, and the former Minister of Transport of Crimea, Anatoly Tsurkin, a correspondent for PolitNavigator reports.
“This is what the border looks like today. There are no queues,” Stremousov emphasized. – The border is working, well done guys. The throughput satisfies everyone.”
Tsurkin adds that the expansion of border checkpoints is almost complete. Additionally, 6 lanes have been added for truck traffic.
“Asphalt concrete has been laid. Work is underway to install fencing, markings, arranging a canopy and employee locations, Tsurkin said in his Telegram channel. “Special thanks to everyone, including the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for their prompt work.”
Let us remind you that, by decision of the government commission, at the checkpoints across the Kherson-Crimean border at the entrance to Crimea, the number of lanes has been increased to increase intensity. By July 1, waiting times at border control should be reduced from 28 to 4 hours.
In addition, by June 20, all units of the Border Control Agency must be staffed with sufficient personnel to cope with the increased volume of work.
